Within each safe deposit box there is a self-contained metal bond box that allows for easy access to your possessions. Our safe deposit boxes come in four sizes to satisfy your requirements.

Rental Period and Costs
A minimum rental period of 12 months applies, but special arrangements can be made for shorter rental periods, subject to availability. Rental costs which are available on request, are dependant on the size of the box hired as well as the rental period.

A dual-key system opens the safe deposit boxes . International Bank Vaults holds the preparatory key, and the customer has the other. Each customer has an exclusive key for their locker for which there are no spare keys available. In the unlikely event of a customer misplacing a key, Chubb safe company will replace the lock in the presence of the customer at the customer's expense.
Your privacy is paramount. What you store in your safe deposit box is your business - and yours alone.
International Bank Vaults ranks the privacy of its clients equally with security in terms of importance. Only you or a person nominated by you can open your safe deposit box in a convenient booth.
Nobody, other than registered and authorised safe deposit box customers, can access the facility.
Renting a safe deposit box from us is simple, quick and unobtrusive. This confidential service is designed to ensure maximum privacy. Box access is free once your identity has been verified, using manual and electronic means. However, visits to your box are limited to 8 visits per calendar month on standard contract terms.
Insurance and Legal
Should you require insurance to cover the contents of the safe deposit box, we will be pleased to arrange it, provided that the items are disclosed and a valuation certificate is provided. The insurance premiums will however be borne by the customer.
(It is recommended that your possessions be independently and adequately insured under your household cover with your own insurance broker.)
When you apply to rent a safe deposit box you can appoint a nominee, who may be a spouse or attorney for example, who will have the same level of authority as yourself.
In the event of death, your assets, including the contents of your safe deposit box, will be frozen until an executor has been appointed by the Master of the High Court to attend to the winding up of your estate. Once your executor has the appropriate authority, he/she can access the vault once International Vaults has been provided with that authority. You are able to bequeath the contents of your safe deposit box to beneficiaries in your will.
When applying to rent a safe deposit box, you will be required to provide International Vaults with certain identifying documentation and information and will be required to sign a comprehensive lease agreement. Should you require insurance to cover the contents of the safe deposit box, we will be pleased to arrange it, provided that the items are disclosed and a valuation certificate is provided. The insurance premiums will however be borne by the customer.
