IBV Gold Club
Being an IBV client is not just about lodging your treasures and important documents in the vault. It is also about getting exclusive access to a range of VIP services and preferential rates. For a token R200-a-year, IBV clients can take advantage of a host of benefits in their own Gold Club, a loyalty programme linked to aspirational top brands. There is even a VIP chauffeur service in IBV’s Rolls Royce Phantom at the Sandton vaults.
As IBV is a registered dealer in gold bars and Kruger Rands and an accredited trader in silver, club members also have direct access to gold, diamonds and tanzanite.
With thoughts of the global recession, people are now moving away from stocks and shares and as a result, are spreading their investments and buying hard assets like gold, silver and diamonds, the IBV founder Ashok Sewnarain says.IBV also aims to provide quality service and advice on all insurance needs and can offer preferential insurance cover through Lloyd’s of London. And when it comes to luxury resorts and travel, IBV have partnered with the a range of big-name brands: Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, the One & Only in Cape Town, Sun International, Legacy Hotels & Resorts and The Red Carnation Hotel Collection.A business network also aims to attract top national and international speakers to address Gold Club members at seminars and conferences.
The IBV Super Car Club SA is now well-established, attracting a host of clients who own an impressive range of top-end sports cars. Sewnarain decided to form the club when he saw just how many of his clients turned up at the vaults in exotic cars. Super Car members have already been on a Sunday morning champagne breakfast run to Zimbali Fairmont Hotel in their Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Maseratis, Audi A8s and others.
And they turned out in force for the unveiling of the new R6,5-million Lamborghini Aventador at the IBV vaults at Gateway Theatre of Shopping in Umhlanga. Only six models were brought into the country, and realising the intense interest in it, Sewnarain arranged to bring one to Durban to show members.
One of his most exciting projects in 2012 is the planned launch of an exclusive one-of-a-kind IBV lifestyle magazine that is destined to become a collector’s item.
The innovative Sewnarain is also planning an Expo, but more of that later…
